SwaSwara was a perfect destination to enjoy some me time, to recharge and enjoy being pampered with Ayurvedic treatments and spoilt with fantastic healthy food. I met some wonderful like-minded fellow guests at SwaSwara so I would definitely recommend it for solo travellers as well as for small groups of friends, adult family members or couples. Advanced yogis and beginners alike would benefit from the classes at SwaSwara. I left feeling happy, relaxed, balanced and peaceful so I would recommend SwaSwara for anyone looking to feel that way...

What an exceptional hotel! The best service I've ever experienced! The Spa is wonderful, as well as the yoga classes. I felt that my body, mind and soul were well looked after and I came home feeling like a new person. The food was excellent. I went by myself and was made to feel very welcome by both the hotel and other guests. My solitude, when wanted, was respected. I felt utterly refreshed when I got back to the UK and have recommended Swaswara and Health and Fitness Travel to many people already. My tip: To embrace every aspect of the hotel.

waSwara is a very peaceful and gorgeous resort on a spectacular stretch of the Karnataka coast, just behind the famous Om Beach.

The villas are spacious and minimal rustic design(they could do with a few more decorative elements), mixing more traditional elements of Konkan architecture with a touch of modern comfort. Villas have nice open-air bathrooms. However, rooms are a bit bare.

We liked the fact they didn't have TV, as this would distract from SwaSwara's atmosphere and concept and assisted us in switching OFF and getting back into reading!

The restaurant / dining is great.
Food was delicious and just reminded us the benefits of clean eating and over eating. Still carrying this philosophy into our everyday lives.

The Ayurvedic Wellness Yoga Retreat
The treatments were amazing. Individually designed and insightful. A nice change from western medicine.
The wellness yoga/mediation activities on offer were perfect. For beginners and intermediate students. The instructors were great also. Their chanting and voices were ever so calming. And meditation under the large banyan tree - sublime.

It was a great 7 days. and definitely cam home feeling a lot better (once i got over the jet lag)

After four hectic weeks of touring all of India's most famous sites, for my fourth time, I was ready for something different. I have been practising yogi and meditating for many years so SwaSwara seemed like good fit. It was much more than I expected. The peaceful atmosphere, wonderful staff, amazing yogi program, meditations classes, Ayurveda massages, and last but not least the food were a delight. In between the activities above I spent my time swimming in the Arabian Sea on the famous OM Beach. I had my own room which gave me lots of time for reflection and rest. I was only there seven days but wished it was longer. The private villa type accommodation were beautiful and perfect for me. 

SwaSwara does offer many Ayurveda well-being programs most of which require a two to four week stay. This is a quite place and those visiting are looking for a peaceful rejuvenation. I know I should return for a longer stay!

Rejuvenating the body and soul begins will healthy and organic nourishment. With its rustic and casual style, the restaurant, Cocum, serves a clever combination of cooked and raw food to ensure that you receive the necessary vitamins to reach maximum health. The restaurant is vegetarian, featuring fresh vegetables from the resort’s very own garden, but uses fish which are caught locally. Chef Joy combines traditional Indian cooking with modern techniques, making the dishes a unique and mouth-watering experience.

If you follow a vegan or gluten-free diet, your needs will be met with innovative and delicious meals. If you choose to follow a Prana, Swastha or Shanti programme, your diet will be tailor-made for your own personal needs by a specialist naturopath.
