Guest Reviews of LaLuna

My partner and I had a few indulgent days at Laluna, after a busy mult-stop four weeks of travel. The resort was quiet when we were there in August, and it was a perfect place to relax, enjoy the ocean, laze on the patio of our delightfully designed villa, and replenish our energy. The staff were helpful and friendly, the views gorgeous and the option of a stroll along the beach to a neighbouring restaurant complemented the convenience of Laluna's own open air restaurant. The new clifftop villas are also amazing: Stunning panoramic views, beautifully fitted out accommodation, and the laid back setting of Grenada, make for an enticing get away for a group of family or friends.

Wonderful people in a beautiful setting. We spent three lovely days relaxing and rejuvenating. Meals were great and service was like having your own staff. Cottages have spectacular views. The only limitation to our wonderful experience was the hike to our cottage. However, there was a trade off, since the further up the hill, the more spectacular the views. The staff was helpful, courteous, and focused on insuring that guests enjoyed their stay.

The very friendly and reuptable chef Daniel cooks the most amazing healthy and tasteful food - make sure you speak with him to discover the ingredients to your meal. We recommend taking the massages for two - the perfect way to relax as a couple.

LaLuna is a magical hotel set in a secluded bay on the island of Grenada. A favourite amongst celebrities yet completely unpretentious, LaLuna is owned by Italian Bernardo Bertucci, who has infused this delightful resort with his style and charm. The pool is a blue oasis framed by a emerald green sea, located directly on the property’s secluded white-sand beach. It is surrounded by a wooden deck, tastefully appointed with teak sun loungers. Guests can take a refreshing dip in the salty sea, and return to enjoy the fresh water or sunbathe along the 5’ wide shallow edge of the pool.

The new wellness centre has further enhanced the LaLuna experience, comprising of an organic garden, yoga pavilion and spa. With 4 treatment rooms, the spa reflects the resort’s Balinese influence and integrates Caribbean charm and Eastern techniques, with products exclusively hand made in Bali. With wonderful cuisine and excellent facilities, just relax and enjoy this perfect well-being hideaway.

Food & Restaurants

icon

LaLuna’s restaurant opens directly onto the beach, offering guests a romantic view of the bay. The intimate size, with a seating capacity for only 48 diners, will provide the perfect ambiance for guests to experience the tempting dishes prepared by Italian Chef Daniele Gaetano. The restaurant’s unique wine cellar houses popular Italian wines as well as a more select variety from small undiscovered wineries in Italy, most of which will be new to wine lovers in North America. These have been specially chosen to perfectly complement the restaurant’s eclectic menu, which will combine fare from the sea with the Italian specialties.

Sunset Bar
The Sunset Bar is a perfect location to recapture the day. It is partially covered with a thatched roof and comfortably furnished with Indonesian daybeds and sofas. The Sunset Bar faces west for maximum ‘sunset appreciation’.

A Tatami room with hand-woven wall finishing allows the massage to be done on the floor on a Tatami mat, which enables more stretching and foot pressure of the therapist’s body weight. The wet room utilizes a Vichy shower, which gives the sensation of a rain shower and is used between mud applications, and massages. The spa menu includes different face treatments, massages, hand and feet rituals such as manicures and pedicures and many other healthy therapies.
