Guest Reviews of Aphrodite Hills
Hotel: I had a nice pool view room with balcony on first floor, comfortable and a good position as far as getting to restaurants, pool etc. I was pleased it was quieter as think during peak season it could be too busy and perhaps very crowded. The pool area was pleasant and plenty areas to sunbathe however could see peak season must be hell!! NB most uncomfortable sun loungers in the world……. No padding /mattress base so very unforgiving. Stupid rule about 1 towel only, but managed to override it easily but just a small niggle.
Food: limited availability of restaurants due to it being quieter. For 2 weeks food got a bit repetitive but quality was good and fresh.
All inclusive option – a real winner in my opinion, given how costly bottles of water etc are this worked out well and gave me the freedom for water/ soft drinks/ glass wine with lunch/ pre dinner etc. Some of the trip advisor reports suggested it wasn’t working but it worked fine for me and the lunch salad options etc were great.
Staff: hotel staff were all very helpful and cheerful and looked after me very well. Good presence of management to maintain standards.
Spa: lovely area and high quality spa. Treatments were good and all the therapists pleasant and helpful. The pool there was stunning.
Yoga: very good teacher and the sessions were excellent
Gym: personal trainer Timmi was knowledgeable and the session on the power plate was a real winner.
Tennis academy: really enjoyed my tennis and the group had 4 max but 3 most days and on my final day it was just me which was a bonus .I also had one private lesson which was with another coach but equally good. Coaches sought our feedback and were happy to adapt lesson accordingly.
Weather: good for the 2 weeks – last 2 evenings a little cooler but still ate outside so vs UK tropical.
I have returned fitter & with some weight loss, with a determination to work more exercise into my work/ home balance as it makes you feel so much better.
