Sophie's Review of La Clairière
In need of a spring healthy break I headed for a long weekend to France at La Clairière Bio & Spahotel, in the picturesque Alsace region of La Petite Pierre. A family-owned establishment, this wellness retreat is small and welcoming with a friendly atmosphere. From the organic, seasonal food to the ecological bathroom products, it has an unpretentious air which enables you to feel instantly at home.

Guest Reviews of La Clairiere
After a week in this hotel, our batteries were totally reloaded. We stayed in a room with terrasse and choosed for the demi pension formula. The room was very good with relaxing bed, nice bathroom, small save and terrasse to the south. It was only 1 night difficult to sleep because of outside day temperature of 38 C.
The BIO concept is used in the complete hotel and is best observed in the fine foods. The breakfast buffet is very varied with choice for everyone. The dinner menu was very surprising,, very good with light meals but nobody left table hungry. You will not get heavy meals with fries etc.
The large inside pool and outside spa pool also enable a full relaxing stay. Guests can also choose for a variety of massages and relaxing baths. We also used the large jacuzzi and different steam/sauna cabins. All standahrd spa facilities are included in the price. We probably will come back to this hotel even for a shorter stay as only 450 kms from our home location. I think the winter is also nice with the large forrests in the area.

We stayed at La Clariere for a week. Right away our room was upgraded to a bigger room. The room was spacious and comfortable with a small balcony. We took a package deal that included 3 meals and spa treatments. The hotel also offers yoga and Chi-Qong for its guests.
The food was delicious, like eating in a chef's restaurant- all three meals!! Food was of high quality products, dishes were creative, intersting, tasteful and healthy. Deserts were dreamy. All this delicious experience was acompanied with a service of the first degree, and we want to say a special thanks you to Frank who was our waiter most of our time there and helped us translating the menus to English and was very kind and helpful!!
The surroundings of the hotel are beautiful, and it is very recommended to go outside for a walk and to visit the near village of La petite Pier, and the forests all around.
The hotel has a wonderful relaxing Spa with saunas of all kinds, swimming pools, and all sorts of relaxing treatments.
The general environment was very calm, polite and welcoming. We felt like we have discovered a jem coming here. It will be a holiday that we will never forget. We are greatful for the wonderful food and service of all the hotel's staff, and for this wonderful vacation. Thank you!!
