Tailor-make a Holiday

LaLuna is a glorious well-being retreat, set on the island of Grenada, offering a perfect getaway to enjoy daily yoga, hiking, fishing, boating, or simply relaxing on the beach. Accommodation is simple, clean and classic, and a Balinese influence runs through the whole resort. This continues to the spa, where Caribbean and Eastern techniques are combined to produce wonderfully original spa experiences. Guests can even partake in yoga right on the beach, and enjoy traditional Italian cuisine under a thatched roof dining room with a lovely view of the bay. Grenada’s fame as the wreck diving capital of the Caribbean is justified at LaLuna, where guests can dive down to the largest shipwreck in the region, and explore the surrounding reefs and marine wildlife.

A favourite amongst celebrities yet completely unpretentious, LaLuna is owned by Italian Bernardo Bertucci, who has infused this delightful resort with his style and charm. Guests can take a refreshing dip in the salty sea, and return to enjoy the fresh water or sunbathe along the 5’ wide shallow edge of the pool.

The new wellness centre has further enhanced the LaLuna experience, comprising of an organic garden, yoga pavilion and spa. With 4 treatment rooms, the spa reflects the resort’s Balinese influence and integrates Caribbean charm and Eastern techniques, with products exclusively hand made in Bali. Food & Restaurants

LaLuna’s restaurant opens directly onto the beach, offering guests a romantic view of the bay. The intimate size, with a seating capacity for only 48 diners, will provide the perfect ambiance for guests to experience the tempting dishes prepared by Italian Chef Daniele Gaetano. The restaurant’s unique wine cellar houses popular Italian wines as well as a more select variety from small undiscovered wineries in Italy, most of which will be new to wine lovers in North America. These have been specially chosen to perfectly complement the restaurant’s eclectic menu, which will combine fare from the sea with the Italian specialties.

Sunset Bar
The Sunset Bar is a perfect location to recapture the day. It is partially covered with a thatched roof and comfortably furnished with Indonesian daybeds and sofas. The Sunset Bar faces west for maximum ‘sunset appreciation’.

The Spa

LaLuna’s Asian spa features two treatment rooms which can be converted into a single unit for couples massages. A Tatami room with hand-woven wall finishing allows the massage to be done on the floor on a Tatami mat, which enables more stretching and foot pressure of the therapist’s body weight. The wet room utilizes a Vichy shower, which gives the sensation of a rain shower and is used between mud applications, and massages. The spa menu includes different face treatments, massages, hand and feet rituals such as manicures and pedicures and many other healthy therapies.

Wellness Approach

LaLuna’s wellness approach is a combination of yoga sessions, healthy Italian inspired cuisine and their Asian spa and the many treatments it has to offer. Their aim is to promote a healthy lifestyle and help guests leave with enhanced well-being.

Fitness / Group Classes

Despite the vast ocean (lap pool), the lengthy beaches (natural treadmill), LaLuna offers a fitness room with a treadmill, stationary bicycle, weight machine, free weights and mini step machine, for those who need the gym environment for their work-out routine.

Few other Caribbean resorts can offer you such spacious, sumptuous luxury in such unique guest cottages. Set in a secluded bay on the southern tip of Grenada, LaLuna is the ultimate island getaway. My seven-night stay at the luxury resort was just the escape I needed. The road leading up to LaLuna is unpaved and bumpy, but don't be fooled by the drive, upon entering the resort you will realise that you've tumbled upon a hidden paradise.

Guest Reviews of LaLuna

My wife and I spent a week in one of the fabulous casitas of the Laluna resort! We loved it and hope to go back soon. The beauty of the surroundings was matched equally with comfort, incredible food, lazy nights, and an incredibly friendly staff. The staff was always there to help us with whatever we wanted to do on the island, and several of the employees became our "temporary" friends and took us to watch their children's school parade or drove us around the island themselves. They made us feel so at home and to me set Laluna apart. The food at the resort was delicious as well.

This is the perfect place for those who are slightly more inclined to "raw" luxury as almost everything except your bedroom is outdoors. This was something which we loved.

We HIGHLY recommend staying at this unique and wonderful place.

Shlove55, Trip Advisor Review - November 2013

This is the place you want to be if you want scenic, peaceful, mindfreeing rest and relaxation. You can go hours or a day without seeing other people and have a view of the ocean and sky and not be able to tell where one begins and the other ends.

The food is wonderful and the staff will meet your every need.
